Adding Dialogue Notes During Workflow

As a prescription progresses through Workflow, Dialogue notes can be added to the prescription from the Dialogue Note window. When a Dialogue note is added, the following occurs:

  • The note appears in the Previous Notes section of the Dialogue window.

  • If Dialogue has not been completed yet:

    • The Dialogue Note button appears in redbeside the Dialogue Required checkbox in the Workflow windows (i.e., Packaging, Technical Validation, Clinical Review).

    • A red Dialogue iconappears in the Pick Up/Delivery column.

    • A Dialogue Note icon appears on the thermal privacy label beside the Dialogue indicator.

Any user type can enter a Dialogue note. However, Dialogue must still be completed by a pharmacist user; adding Dialogue notes does not complete Dialogue.

To add a Dialogue note during Workflow:

  1. Process the prescription from the Workbench or Patient Profile. The prescription opens in one of the following windows:

    • Rx Detail

    • Packaging

    • Technical Validation

    • Clinical Review

  2. In the Information Bar at the top, ensure the Dialogue Required checkbox is selected. Select the Dialogue Note button beside it.

    The Dialogue Note window opens.

  3. Use one or both of the following options:

    • Enter your notes in the text box.

    • Select Quick Comments to choose from a list of pre-set pharmacist comments. To select multiple comments, hold down the CTRL key on your keyboard while making your selections. Select OK once done.

Quick Comments can be configured in List Maintenance. For more information, see Pharmacist Comments in List Maintenance.

  4. Select OK. The Dialogue Note button turns red .

  5. Continue processing the prescription as per usual process.
